Post Treatment Care- Vasculyse
  • Do not touch, stretch or manipulate the treated area for at least 24 hours following treatment.
  • Clean the treated area very gently using fingers and facial cleanser. Do not use a facecloth, facial brush or sponge.
  • If you wish to wear makeup over a recently treated area, gently apply foundation using clean fingers. Avoid sponges as they often carry bacteria.
  • To avoid hyperpigmentation, Use sunscreen and avoid sun exposure, including tanning salons, for one week.
  • Apply cold compresses if the area feels hot. Do not use ice.
  • Apply a medicated preparation such as Polysporin, Neosporin or Hydrocortisone, As well as the product provided by the esthetician.
  • Following treatment, do not drink alcohol for 24 hours.
  • Following treatment, do not take Aspirin for 48 hours.
  • Do not pick up or remove scabs!

Removing scabs prematurely may cause red marks which could take several months to disappear.

  • To prevent scarring, do not irritate the affected area.
  • Do not wash or scrub the treated area for 24 hours.
  • Apply antibiotic (e.g., Polysporin or Neosporin) or anti-inflammatory cream ( Hydrocortisone / Cortate ).

To reduce the risk of developing new vascular blemishes, follow these recommendations:

  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds, wear sunscreen at all times.
  • Avoid extreme temperature variations, hot baths, saunas and hot tubs.
  • Avoid heating masks, acid peels and treatments that emit intense heat.
  • Avoid alcohol and spicy foods.
